📣 WHS 8th Grade Parent Night – RSVP Today!

Flyer

On Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM, Willingboro High School will host 8th Grade Parent Night—a focused opportunity for families to explore the programs, pathways, and possibilities awaiting your student next year.

You’ll hear how WHS is equipping students with real-world skills through career-focused programming, access to modern facilities, and rigorous, diverse coursework that prepares them for what's next.

Every student whose family attends will receive a homework pass for all classes. And because community and competition can coexist, the team (8-1 or 8-2) with the most families represented will win a Chick-fil-A lunch.

Your RSVP helps us plan for the evening—and your presence sends a clear message: you’re invested in the journey ahead. Scan the QR code or click here to confirm your attendance.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Join The Memorial PTA

We often say we want more for our students—more opportunities, more support, more community. Here's one way to make that happen.

The MMS PTA is calling on parents, teachers, staff, students, and community members to join us in shaping the school experience our kids deserve. Your membership directly supports programs and resources that benefit our students—and your voice helps steer the decisions that impact them most.

Membership is $10 for adults and $5 for students. Cash App: $MemorialPTA2026

Our next virtual meeting is October 28th at 7PM, and everyone is welcome. Bring your voice. Bring your vision. Let’s build together.

NJSLA Scores Have Been Mailed Home 📬

NJSLA score reports have been mailed home. Please review them with your child and keep them in a safe place—these reports will be needed for any high school applications this year.

We’re also excited to announce that after-school tutoring begins Monday, October 20.
Every student who stays after school will report to tutoring first before transitioning to their club or activity. This ensures that learning remains our top priority and helps us close any gaps that may exist for students.

If you’d like your child to participate, please click the link below to sign them up.

Locker Request Now Open

Lockers

Families, as we head into the colder months, students will be carrying heavier coats, layers, and gear. To help lighten the load during the day, we’re offering locker assignments by request.

If your child needs a locker, please complete the form here:

Lockers will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Please remind your student that lockers are shared spaces—we are not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Valuables should be left at home.

Let us know if you have questions. We appreciate your partnership in keeping our students prepared and protected this season.

We Need the Village: A Call for Partnership and Accountability

Village

Memorial Families,

We’re reaching out with honesty and urgency.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen troubling behavior in our restrooms—especially in the 7th and 8th-grade boys’ bathrooms. Vandalism has increased. Paper towels are being pulled from dispensers and used inappropriately. In some cases, students are urinating on the floor or in paper towels and leaving them behind.

This behavior is unacceptable. It’s unsanitary, disrespectful, and undermines the work we’ve done to make Memorial a place students are proud to walk into each day. We’ve invested in our building because our students deserve a space that reflects their potential. But space alone doesn’t build pride—people do.

We need the village right now.

Please speak with your children—especially our young men—about respect for themselves, for others, and for our shared spaces. This isn’t just “gross” behavior; it’s harmful. It damages our environment, hurts our community, and erodes the trust we’re building together.

We also received a message from the United Convenience Store asking for our help. Some of our students have been stealing from the store on their way home from school. This is unacceptable and must stop immediately. Moving forward, all students are expected to go directly home after dismissal. Visits to United or the Dollar Store are not permitted.

We also ask you to challenge the idea that speaking up is “snitching.” Telling the truth and holding each other accountable is how real community works. Community means your problem becomes my problem—because I care enough to act.

Finally, please talk with your child about how they handle conflict. Choosing violence—verbal, emotional, or physical—doesn’t show strength. It shows hurt. Real power is found in self-control and empathy. That lesson begins with us—at school and at home.

We believe in our students. We believe in this community. And we believe this can be a turning point—a moment where we come together to guide our children toward better choices and stronger character.

Let’s remind them what true Memorial Pride looks like.
