Dear parents and guardians,

As we enter our third week of school, I want to extend my gratitude to the amazing Chimera community for your continued support of our school and students. Together, we are changing the narrative at Willingboro High School.

I am excited to remind you that Back to School Night is coming up on Thursday, September 26, from 5:15 PM to 8:00 PM. From 5:15 to 6:00 PM, we will have club sign-ups, providing you with the opportunity to explore the many amazing clubs and extracurricular activities available at Willingboro High School. I hope to see you there! Dinner will be served at 5:30 PM.

At 6:00 PM, you will have the chance to speak with me and my administrative team, as well as meet your child's teachers. We will release you to the classrooms around 6:15 PM to discuss classroom expectations. Your presence is critical; I am aiming for a record turnout of parents and guardians. We cannot do this work alone—our strength lies in our collaboration. It is essential for our students to see us working together in their best interest.

Please note a slight adjustment to our dismissal procedures:

• Bus Students: Report to the front of the building at dismissal.

• Pickup Students and Walkers: Report to the back of the building doors 5 and 6.

This change will help ensure that our buses pick up elementary and middle school students on time while avoiding a traffic jam. Once again, bus students will report to the front, while walkers and parent pick-up will be dismissed from doors 5 and 6.

Please remind your students to arrive at school on time by 7:29 AM. Students arriving late will be marked tardy and may need to attend Saturday school after accumulating six instances of lateness.

We experienced an exhilarating sports week. On Friday afternoon, Kelvin Tochukwu-Igah scored the only goal, leading the Willingboro Boys Soccer team to a 1-0 victory against BCIT-Medford. Glenn Leiva contributed significantly with 11 saves, showcasing the team's strong defensive performance and maintaining a winning record of 3-2.

On Saturday afternoon, the football team achieved a noteworthy comeback victory against Gloucester City, winning 21-10. Terrance Knighton recorded two touchdown receptions from Sean Taylor, while Darold Coleman made two interceptions, including his first career pick-6. This win keeps the football team undefeated as they prepare for their next match against Paul VI.
